What to do about downy mildew?

I have a rose (Morning Blush--the alba by Sievers) that I believe has downy mildew (maybe someone can confirm it for me from the photos?)

I've been toying with the idea of moving or getting rid of the rose anyway--it doesn't work where it's planted, isn't fragrant, and probably doesn't get enough sun. I'm wondering if I should just trash it or move it and give it another chance.

Does anyone have any experience with getting rid of downy mildew? I haven't really seen any good cures mentioned that weren't very high priced sprays.

I hate just throwing a rose away, and it is quite beautiful when it blooms, but I don't want it to contaminate my other roses.

If it weren't such a pretty rose it would already be on its way to the landfill, but it's really a gorgeous thing when it blooms.
