Red and yellow wild rose distribution.

I'm writing a description for somebody, to explain why roses in Western gardens, were restricted in color throughout most of history, and I'd like to include a couple paragraphs about wild roses.

Because photographs are not always precise in depiction of hue, I'd like to know whether there are truly scarlet or crimson, or even light red roses native to North America and Europe.

R. setigera, would you say it is more pink than red?

R. alpina , Pink or red?

Yellow wild roses.

Are saturated yellow wild roses mostly confined in distribution to the Near East, and Middle East?

The Chinese rose, R. gigantea appears more of a cream to ivory hue when I've seen it in bloom, are there any deeper or brighter wild yellow roses native to China? or Asia?.

Thanks ever so much.
