Macy's Pride is a great bush. Blooms almost non stop

I've heard about these easy elegance roses, I see them early in the spring, but they seem to sell out before they flower. With the exception of the red colored ones, my hero, little mischeif, etc.

You will love the Easy Elegance series. Every visitor to our garden is immediately drawn to Macy's Pride. Some of the others that are great bushes are Super Hero, My Girl, Yellow Submarine, & Sweet Fragrance. Easy Elegance is put out by Bailey's Nurseries which also puts out the Northern Accents series. We have Ole & Sven which are also wonderful. We planted Ole last year & it is now about 4' tall & just as wide. These bushes were also nearly spotless, while surrounding bushes were covered with BS last month.

I'm growing Yellow Submarine and it has been an excellent bloomer, without a bit of blackspot. I've heard excellent things about Macy's Pride and am anxious to try it out. Our rose society will be meeting with the Bailey's rep at our October meeting, and he is going to do a program on the Easy Elegance and Northern Accent roses. Any of you out there in Northern Michigan are sure welcome.

I grow five 'Windermere' roses and love this rose to pieces. Not only they are extremely healthy (no-spray) but they also bloom is such profusion, even now, in the heat of August.
The fragrance is intense and delicious.

Those are quite the vuluptous buds. I can't find anything on Windermere. What zone is it hardy to?

Dollsandroses, how would you compare the Sven to the Ole? Mainly its flowering and habit?

A nursery recommended Winnepeg Parks over Sven.

He mention Sunrise Sunset was pretty good from the Easy Elegance collection.

Rose de Rescht is an old garden rose with good repeat.
Bolero (Romantica) is a heavy blooming floribunda that survives the winter without protection.
Quietness is a Buck rose with good repeat and nice full blooms (light fragrance).
Chantal Merieux is a nice little Generosa.

whaas-We just planted Sven this year & it seems to be much smaller than Ole. Although we didn't expect Ole to get as big as it has. I love the coloring on Sven, a very pretty purple. They bloom pretty mush the same. Ole was just deadheaded, so it is bear right now, but I expect it to bud up again in about a week.
I have Winnepeg Parks too & it is so different from Sven I can't believe they'd be mentioned in the same breath. WP is a beautiful deep pink. They blooms are large and it is a big bush. Sven is very petite. Sunrise Sunset is also a good choice. The colors in that are almost luminescent.

Out of the 4 you just mentioned, which one is your favorite all around?

I can't seem to chose without actually growing it and experiencing it.

I do like how compact Ole has stayed for me and it was a very heavy bloomer. Its supposed to be the best out of the Norther Accents for number of blooms.

how would you compare the Sven to the Ole

Sounds like the opening line to one of those endless Ole and Olga jokes told all over the upper midwest and Minnesota area in particular. Been a long time since I lived there--wish I could remember some of those jokes. : )
