Happy Butt update

I checked the cuttings I started back in the middle of June and ten of them have sufficent roots on them to pot up. They'll need to grow in the pots for awhile.

After the temps cool in mid September, I'll begin to send them out.

May of you have indicated you'd like a plant.

E-mail me directly so I can get addresses, etc.

Not sure if I made the initial list but if you have any unspoken for Id love to have one. I have a few scarce ones myself to trade if your interested, including a few of the elusive Lucille Ball. Let me know and thanks

Hey Atheen...I am so glad Dave is doing better..Back to the workouts I take it? I hope so..Just light to start and he will gain his strength again..It just take time.. Awesome! Tell him hello for me.. I am truly impressed with your set up. Wow..Looking mighty nice..I forget. did you spray your trees before they came in? Did you ever invest in a good magnifying glass? Anyone here who grows theirs indoors should have one for sure. I use vinegar all year long and as long as I don't get lazy and forget which is quite often..You will quickly tell when your use of vinegar has abated, trust me..You will start seeing pale leaves, anything less than vivid green and you will think your trees and lacking nutrients..That is why I use in constantly as often as I remember with or without fertilizer..You will be keeping your trees warm, so I would)) Great job and such beauty! This actually made me google to see if Wendy's still has pulled pork. But then I thought the better of it since we're going out to dinner shortly at a place that serves way too much. I've been having a hard time finding Boston butt. Last time I made it with the picnic, and wasn't happy with it. Not sure if it was the cut or just bad luck, but I've made the same recipe with butt many times and never a problem. I'm on a mission now. Enjoy!

The El Cid is struggling, but it has survived the winter and a drought. Still looking to find a copy of Jennifer Hart btw.

I lost all of mine over the big Easter freeze. More coming this week as unrooted cuttings from U Cal-Davis. I know you want one, and 1 will be yours once I get them rooted.

Oh by the way, sorry for over bidding you on that Blue River, but I really wanted it!

I just had to post a picture of Happy Butt!! Yes...that's Karl! He was at a "Come as a Rose" contest at the last ARS convention he attended. Who is kissing Happy Butt??

That was Cindy from Texas kissing my Happy Butt.
Remember her. She posted here quite often. She now posts on the Heirloom Rose Foundation site.

I did look up the rose on HMF and saw your picture there Karl - Wow, what a beauty! I wanted to put my name in for one right away, but alas, I know it could not be mailed to Canada - PITY!!!
