Kate, I think your middle rose is a Chihuly. I thought I posted with some pics here a couple days ago, but I don't see my post??? I'll try again. I think Chihuky is just lovely, even though I don't relly like ornage roses, neither do i care for bi-colors. But this one is a beauty, and all the guys here love it, so it stays. Pretty clean and vigorous in its first year, too.

Thanks for all responses.When I mentioned zone 5 in the subject of posting I was hoping to get response from people who have grown the roses and I can be sure that I would end up buying hardy roses.Fragrant cloud seems to be a favourite.I will look around and get one if I can find one locally.I can also pick up Honey sweet from the lacal nursary if I can bring myself to pay $29.99 or I might add it to my list for mail order next spring.Tropicana looks like cl America which I have .Liane I have daybreaker and like it a lot.mgleason -last summer the local nursary had prairie sunrise and winter sunset and I choose the PS because it had deeper apricot color with more petals and distinct smell and Iam happy with my choice.Do you have any fragrant orange/blends? Jim,You are right in assuming that I was hoping to hear about orang(y)e roses like gingersnap.looks like there aren't too many choises in that color range.Fragrance and hardiess in a orange rose is all Iam lookig for . Hello, Just wanted to butt in and say that I have plenty of seeds for the orange milkweed or butterflyweed, and I have lots of seed pods forming as we speak. I also have many volunteer baby Rue plants that could probably be mailed in a pinch. I haven't checked for seeds of the Rue, because I have so much already growing. Unfortunately, I have yet to see any Giant Swallowtail action, despite having every host plant it is known to frequent. I also have seeds for two other varieties of milkweed, A. incarnata (swamp) and one called "Red" by Seed Saver's Exchange. If you're looking for seeds, try the wintersowing forum--also an excellent way to get multiple plants started inexpensively and very reliably. All of these photos are stunning! How about Sara-Ann's Peace photo - wow. Absolute perfection! Actually, Sara-Ann, all of your photos are fantastic. Nice job. I really want to compliment everyone here on your photos! I think everybody here is becoming better at photography as a by-product of loving roses! Vapor, the only reason I don't spray Peace is because it's so very dry here. I feel like I get that one break, but heat sure fries Peace's blooms in mid-summer. That was last year's Spring flush. Peace does continue to bloom at least two more big flushes, but it's pretty hot by that time and it doesn't always look so pretty. Carol, I feel so bad for my Peace stuffed in that pot for three years now I think. We're in the planning stages of our house and yard remodel so the poor thing is going to have to stay were it is for another season. It keeps getting bigger and stronger each year there along that fence. I hope it can manage in that pot for a bit longer. Candice is lovely and most all of the roses I managed to get from Ludwigs seem to do really well in our extreme heat - all but Purple Lodge who's blooms fry as soon as the sun comes up. Lady of the Mist is just a baby and puts out giant blooms packed with petals. Amazing! I look forward to how it does this next season.
