We are leaving on holiday in a matter of 48 hours or so. I am taking a couple of roses in nursery pots down to my mother-in-law. They will be our traveling and camping companions from Wednesday until Saturday. (too bad they have no buds or blooms right now, they would have decorated our campsite nicely :o)

ANYWAY...to my point

I noticed the odd earwig in and around the pots. I do NOT want to be driving down the highway only to be scared off the road by the bloodcurdling yell of one of our children as they spot an earwig crawling close by. How do I take the roses and leave the creepy-crawlies behind? We are putting plastic bags under the pot to keep the van clean and dry but that will not contain a determined earwig or one that is on top. They camoflage (sp) nicely with the dirt and sometimes seem to hide just under the surface or in the drain holes underneath. I don't want to find an escapee in our camping gear.
