Looking good! Make sure you put a tag or ribbon on the cane. I've been known to accidentally dead head my hips so now I mark them with something bright colored so I can't miss it and mistakenly take off the hip. You won't need to worry about the rodents much until later in the season when it starts to turn color. When that starts to happen I put a little tin foil loosely over them. It seems to have worked to keep them from disappearing over night.

Yes, Kate, and I blame all of you for enabling me!!! Convincing me to place a 2nd fall rose order! Endangering my planned trip to the camellia garden nursery! Infecting me w/ 'what's over the next hill' disease! Tantalizing, tempting and luring me into 'money poor, rose rich' land! I ordered 2 roses in spring '06, 2 in spring '07, then 5 in the summer, now it's fall and I've gotten 6 and 3, and just ordered another 6, and I'm trying to add 1 add'l rose to my order!!! What do you call this? Exponential growth? maybe LUNACY would fit better! While I have quite a bit of space, I don't envision it being swallowed up by roses! I like low care shrubs and perennials- anything that doesn't have to be mowed! Brandy

Ok, here's where I'm at. The Wasabi--not going to paint with it in this room. So, I'm torn between a cream (Affinity yling yling) and the Weimaramer. I was playing with the BM tool early this am before work on my home computer, I will upload some more ideas later. Anybody have the yling yling? hey it rhymes with Yuengling so maybe that's a sign. Would the Weimeramer, (can we call it "W" for short?) be too dark coming from the Baltic Gray foyer? Busybee--if you have any photos of W in real life, can you post it for me to see? While we are at it, any opinions on nightstand color? If I have a black bed, must the side tables be black/dark wood? Would white look too disjointed?
