what's blooming today?

I wish I knew how to post a picture or two.

Outrageous has the most gorgeous apricot ruffly blooms today. And Arizona has a breathtaking bud just opening - it is also apricot but shaped differently from Outrageous. And Oklahoma is covered with new blooms, deep rich red. And Barcelona is still flowering like mad, with dark red blooms that look like velvet.

scoobagirl - it's easy to post pictures. Most of us here who post use a program called photobucket - you can sign up for free, upload your pictures on there and then once you get your pictures on there you copy the HTML Tag (it's right under the picture) to copy you just click on HTML Tag and it automatically copies it for you - then all you have to do is paste the link into your message ...

What's blooming in my garden today ... I've got Sengeal who's new, gorgeous deep red blooms lovely fragrance, Morning Greeting which is a new climber I love, Ginger Syllabub, Wildfire, Tuscan Sun, Double Delight, Everest Double fragrance, Lady Emma Hamilton, Vavoom, Sister Elizabeth, Ice Girl, Sweet Chariot, Ohio Belle (another new climber), Tamora, The Prince, Janet, Sally Homes is blooming for the first time, Black Lady, Bronze Star, Gruss an Aachen, Cinderella Fairy Tale, Irish Hope, Lilian Austin, Charlotte, Scentimental, Ronald Reagan, Happy Chappy, Othello, William Morris ... and more! Love them all.

Not looking like its usual self at all. Heat and recent transplantation induced perhaps.

Also blooming but not pictured: GebrÃ¼der Grimm, Tropicana, 2 Voodoos, Hot Cocoa and I can't remember what else. All of the rest have buds. Good times. :0)

Good call on the photography. I almost mentioned that in a previous thread where you were lamenting all your plants blooming too early. Try to get some group/clump shots and some garden shots also so you can enter as many photos as possible. I don't know what categories or rules your club has, but ours has 5 categories and you're only allowed to enter 2 photos in each category. Nate

Jean, I didn't even know CHINA BRIDE could rebloom. You get rebloom down there on things I would never dream would rebloom. Nancy, I am glad you are getting reblooms also. That means both of you will be ablew to have long bloom seasons and keep the pictures going.

Thanks everybody! Hpny, sorry you have to deal with hungry deer. Rita and Kay, Fear Not is one of my favorites too. Julia, Prediction was its usual dark yellow and red, it's my camera and the fact that it was quite dark when I was taking pictures. Debra, Zuni is red purple, the description says dark wine red. I solved the mystery of what happened with Undercurrent. I'll try to explain but not sure if it's going to make sense :) It's not extra petals, its petals had so much width near the throat where they pleated, that when they folded several times behind themselves it created a layer of ruffles under the actual petals.

Judy, I buy the glamini Glads from Van Bourgondien, which is a bulb company. I used to buy lots of lilies there too but found they have a really bad rep so don't buy much there. But it is the only place I have found that have the Glamini Glads. But never any problems with the glads so don't be afraid to buy. Kay, the cleome is a newer type that does not have seeds like the old ones. Not as tall either and never stops blooming. This was the first year I had it but I do really love it. Debra, those black eyed susans are ones that self sowed from other annual types I had in my garden last year. Then I bought those POW WOW WILD BERRY Coneflowers new this spring and have been totally, totally impressed with them. Unlike the other types of coneflowers I have that have a bloom season and then quit, these started blooming and then just never, ever stopped blooming. Fantastic. Honestly anyone that likes coneflowers should try this one. Nancy, I don't even know what aconitum is LOL! Jean and honalee, thanks. It has really been a fabulous year in the garden here for me. I am amazed that it is still this green as of now. Thanks, everyone. It is still relatively nice here. Especially since it is already November.

I have two yellows currently blooming, Helmut Schmidt and Sunsprite. Despite both being yellow, my Sunsprite is being viciously attacked by JB's, while they are leaving the Helmut Schmidt alone for the most part.

My Moondance is covered with swelling buds, but is still another week or two away from giving up the goods. My Tuscan Sun continues to pump out a half dozen or so new blooms pretty continuously. My Chicago Peace is also blooming at the moment. But for the most part, my roses are between blooms at the moment.

Shanendoah & Reba McIntyre have tons of blooms but are almost the same color. Falstaff has it's first bloom ever. It's just a baby. What a peach ALWAYS hase blooms.
