Please identify this tree

I don't think it is an ash and it's not a locust, I am at a loss as to what it may be. Can anyone help? Some leaves are alternate some are not. No serrated edges or pointier leaf tips. No thorns of any sort.
Please help, curiosity is killing me and I cannot find the exact match on line.

It could be star magnolia but really hard to say without a closeup and knowing your garden zone. Google "USDA plant hardiness zone" and you can find a map that will show you the zones.

That never occurred to me. But now that you pointed it out it seems obvious. I know of one oak growing about a block away. They are very uncommon here. Thank you.

Looks like black locust to me; not KCT.

I will go with black locust as well. I took my little dog for a walk this evening specifically to look at the foliage of my Ky coffee tree and black locusts. The coffee tree's leaflets are pointed, and the locust's are not. It looks like a robinia.
