Parentage of plane 'Columbia'

Supposedly the parentage of Columbia is the same as all the other cultivars of London Plane but I am beginning to wonder. It has a lot of characteristics that look like California sycamore. Leaves look like Cal S but with toothed edges. It gets those little umbrellas around young growing branches, a trunk that is a little less straight and a looser habit and outline like a younger Cal S. I have not seen a very old Columbia so I don't know if it still looks Cal sycamore-ish when old.

Anyone know if Cal sycamore got into the gene pool?
