lol you think that's a mess ??? You ain't got nothing on me! LOL. I'm too embarrassed to show even half of my pictures.
A few weeks ago, I went to the $ store and bought some white kitchen trash bags. I think it was 15? to a box. Cut lots of holes and stuffed my "containers" in.
I can't wait to see yours and everyone's gardens.
Even though we got a ton of snow, I saw a fly outside today! I took a picture of it but it looked like a tiny blob. That is a sure sign of spring here. Still no robins.
I can smell spring in the air. I know that sound nuts but I really can.lol.

auntyara, you made my day. There is not one place in this house where I can take a decent photo without some serious cleaning (or putting up a backdrop) first. And yes, it is embarassing but not so much as to do anything much about it. I'm not going over my family nagging me about it again. Seriously, once I've got so many containers outside, some of the clutter is better, long way to go.

I will try the dollar store. There's one close, and never know what you'll find. Somebody at the gas station gave me two large clear trash bags and be darned if I can find them, was going to straighten up some of my clutter by putting some of the containers and other stuff I'm keeping in those. I can see most of what's in there.

You saw a fly? Wow. The birds seem to be singing a different tune, what's left of them, still pretty chilly out there but forecast 54F in a week, may not come to pass.

No, it doesn't sounds nuts at all. Pretty sane compared to some stuff I read a few other places I check into now and then. Very sane, in fact.

Thanks for your input. Much appreciated. Waiting for supper to get done. And spring. Heard an owl when I was putting my containers out which does not bode well for some plans I had for dealing with that tree. Sigh. I knew I should have dealt with it last fall but things got away from me.

Dry cleaning bags are awesome if you have any you need done. Those work well for hanging baskets too. I've also used the large clear bags that bulk paper plates come in. Pillows come in nice sized bags too. I haven't seen many of the clear trash bags either. I have saved the plastic from new mattresses though and You can always buy cheap clear shower curtains for a buck and wrap it in that.

Aliska, Home Depot here has clear heavy 55 gal 'drum' liners, aka great big trash bags. Not really cheap, I think there are 18 per box and works out to almost $1 per bag. I use them to line my wheeled city garbage can :), and also to cover the three-tiered plants racks I keep on my deck with young plants/cuttings. protect perennial plantings in over sized clay planters too heavy to move in severe weather.

OT - they also work great for things like sleeping bags, luggage, in the attic.

I might have a couple dry cleaning bags. Why I don't have some of those other things, I don't know. Heaven knows I've got enough other stuff I've GOT to get rid of. Most of it I could get a little money for, but it's time-consuming and a hassle trying to sell anything. I sold a huge organ on ebay with 3 large speakers. What a day that was getting that thing out of the house, little tiny woman with her husband. I even sent her a photo of my front steps, and they come with a uhaul and dolly. I had to find some guys really quick to help with that.

I never wanted to sell anything on ebay again lol. Luckily they made it home and got it in the house, nice of her to write and tell me.

Oh my, I just saw attic. I can't even get up there any more lol. Well, actually I think I could but won't try it soon, I know there are still a few things up there.

Yesterday they were cluttering around my window, griping cuz there's no food, so I'm feeding them and anyone else who comes by.
