Has any of the snow been wet and or heavy? I have been thinking of a plow for my new broadmore. I had a four wheel drive quad and it did ok with the stuff my snow blower could not do,but I sold it.

So far the snow has been fairly light. I have not tried pushing any that has had a chance to melt a little then freeze again. I am mainly using it in places that I got tired of pushing with a shovel.

you're probably OK. I have an L120 (same tranny) with the same pushing power. Have been plowing snow for over 3 years without problems. Traction loss is your governing limit for how much you can do, so if the snow is too thick or heavy or crusty, just hook a 1/2 blade width, and keep going.

When I got into this 3 years ago, I fully expected to be buying a snow blower as well.... well here I am, and I have zero intention of buying a blower... the blade works very well.

the x300 is supposedly the replacement for the lt 150...

i plowed 8 inches of nasty wet central ohio a week or two ago on a 40 degree incline. had no trouble(i have chains and a custom made weight bracket with 100 ish pounds on the back end....i weigh in at 150. i didnt even have any weights on when i did my flat driveway. i figure evertime it snows i plow 600 or more feet of 10 foot wide drive throughout the neighborhood. ive been doing this for 4 years and have not had a problem. you should be fine with the x300....

40 degree incline? That's really steep. Most people would have a hard time walking up that steep of a slope, especially if covered with snow.

machiem....i know they can barely drive up it and have to have flags cause u cant see the driveway. if im not carefull the front end comes really quick.

Didn't know the x300 was sold 4 yrs ago, and 40 degree, ya know they sell and use winch cats for 40 degree hills in ski areas. I guess if you say 4 yrs and 40 degees...............

I think he was saying he has an LT150 which is like the X300.

However, I'm still not convinced the driveway is 40 degrees. That's an 84% grade. The steepest driveways allowed are around 15% max. or 8.5 degrees. If it were going to be covered in snow and ice, I wouldn't go above 8% or 4.5 degrees or you'd have a real hard time stopping at the end.

well they way we figure it is 40 degrees is that there is a retaining wall that is a 90 degree(about) and when we took two pictures of that and flipped the picture it was almost a perfect line up. i guess maybe its only 30...but its is realllllllyyyy steep. only about 25 feet of it is super steep the rest is fairly normal. the drive was paved 20 or 25 years ago so maybe those codes were not in place?? if you are driving up this hill in a van u literally cant see where ur driving if it wasnt for the flags.
