Yes, these patented plants should not be propagated for sale. There's nothing saying you can share leaves or plantlets, however.

I seen the previous posting of Anna Belle and went to the Opt site and ordered one too even though it's more than I would usually pay for one plant. It came in about 7 days. It arrived in great condition, is very big and full of bloom, just like the picture. I was quite surprised at the quality, I expected a much smaller plant and was hoping for bud or bloom and was gladly surprised. I did expect the bloom color to be more blue, it's really more of a purple than blue to my eye, but still very pretty. The leaves are unlike any of my other violets, dark and pointed...a nice contrast with the flower color. Hope you get a great one too! tish

I ordered two plants of AnnaBelle from Selective Gardener and both arrived infested with soil mealies. White sticky masses between the petioles and root inspection revealed the plants were loaded. The plants were beautiful and in full bloom which I always remove by the way. I promptly tossed both plants. Very disappointing.

I say this just to emphasize the importance of inspecting new plants roots and all and always isolate from your collection. Always pays to be careful.

Thanks for sharing that info. I've put it aside, but hadn't had a chance to really inspect it yet. I think I now need to take it to a completely different part of the house. I have a hard time debudding although I've read many times it is recommended. I'll keep a close eye on it as I always do new plants and maybe insecticide it right away.

Nice plant Drew. I am sure you are counting the days until your plant arrives. What is the projected date of arrival? I would be very interested to see what it looks like when it arrives.

Lilypad...hopefully yours is fine. Others have ordered and haven't had any problems besides thrips. AnnaBelle is very pretty and I hope you enjoy your plant very much :0)

I was at a Lawn and Garden-type show and was tempted by the beautiful Optimaras. However, when I took a close look at the darker-blossomed plants, I noted thriving thrip populations and passed them by.

I would suggest you isolate your plants and treat for thrip whether you actually see them or not.
