Deck Spindles & Grease Guns

Posts on this board have helped me off to a great start with my new tractor (JD125). Coming up to the 25 hour mark and am hoping for a little direction with what probably is simple for most of you but since I am a first time LT owner I want to make sure I'm heading in the right direction with this one. Servicing so far has been fine except for one concern. My operator manual instructions for greasing the deck mower spindles states to give each one "one or two shots" of grease. Don't know if the grease gun size makes a difference or not. I am using a "mini grease gun" that uses the 3oz cartridges. I looked at what comes out per pull of the trigger and it's a bead of grease around a half inch long. Is this enough? Don't want to burn anything out (especially these spindles). What's a good way to gage if you've added enough grease? Thanks in advance for any advice!
