My new little discovery!

I'm excited about this one! I was doing some weeding yesterday when I came across a clump of Campanula carpatica that looked to have a variegated seedling in it. I winter sowed (posted already in that forum) these guys this past winter and they have done great, a few are even beginning to flower. The seeds were from the wild strain, not the cultivated Blue Clips and so forth. So tonight I dug up the clump and very, very carefully removed the variegated seedling from the rest of the group and transplanted it to a pot of it's own, so now it can stretch out and not have to compete with the others. I plan to replant it back into the same bed near the end of September to give it some adjustment time before winter. Hope it survives. Here it is, a little tired from the move, but it'll be fine, I hope!

And a couple of pics of one of the clumps with it's maiden bloom...

I hope you enjoyed!
