own root Constance Spry in zone 5b: experiences?

I've just bought an own root Constance Spry from Cornhill Nursery in New Brunswick (zone 4). It is potted up. I'm debating where to plant it but am not sure what to expect from it here in east coast PEI. Should I be planning on a shrub or a climber? All my Austins are grafted onto multiflora and I have zero experience with own root roses. I am interested in other zone 5ers' experiences.

Thanks,

Ruth
