My first year of seriously growing roses

reneek

I've always loved roses, but due to all of the bad press about growing them, I've always chickened out. I want to thank everyone here (There are too many to name, but you know who you are) who encouraged me to try.....I still have a LOT to learn, but I must say my first try has emboldened me to keep going with it....especially since my goal is to have an English cottage garden.

Here are pics of the first flush of roses that I bought last year from either Ashdown's sale or J&P's rose clearance or Lowe's markdowns. I have experienced some blackspot and JB, but I will begin a foray into Earth Kind roses, to help with some of that and most do not look as beautiful at the moment, but I am NOT discouraged! Forgive (and correct) me if I forget (or mislabel) some of the names (lol) THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN TO SOME OF THE BEST PEOPLE ON EARTH:
