I ve tried to post more picture from mobile phone files but cannot because I am not very clear how to post it, when I ve finished and wanted to press the preview button but not allow.

What a great collection you have there. You just need a batch of Ad. somalense and some Ad. boehmianum next to complete the full set! Can't think of any more varieties can you? The 'Thai socotranum' varieties are not the true Ad. socotranums from the middle east, but are actually a series of strains that have been developed in Thailand over the years from the original Arabian type for mass marketing. The true socotranums are rare to come by and both seed and plants command a high price....maybe you already have them on your wish list eh?? Both types are stunning to see nevertheless! This is my Adenium. I have it 3 years and purchased it from Lowe's. It had been shipped cold and had no leaves so the price was reduced from $30 to $8. It is just starting to bloom in this picture but turns into a ball of flowers as nice as an azalea. It is a great plant. I also have seedlings which I have raised. Seeds from Thailand and have done well. I wish we had better access to plants here. I believe they will become very popular. Easy to care for and stunning in color and form.

I use a diluted castille soap spray. It kills them for sure but they do come back every so often. I use Dr Bronner's liquid pure castile soap, diluted in a spray bottle. Be careful with other soaps that aren't actually a natural soap, but a chemical detergent. From what I've read, what makes Dr. Bronner's so effective is the potassium salts of fatty acid. It's basically potassium hydroxide added to a vegetable oil based soap. "The fatty acids work effectively on soft-bodied insects like aphids, mealybugs, spider mites, thrips and white flies. These fatty acids dissolve or remove the insects cell membranes and their natural protective waxy coatings, causing death from excess water loss." It works 100% on my plants and trees. It must be a direct hit though so make sure you get everything. FYI I'm in 10b and it gets super hot here. I tried Neem oil in high heat and had significant leaf burn. It's better if you can move in to shade while the oil is on the leaf. It worked really well for me in cloudy weather for plants in the ground. Very effective. But it's too sunny here on a regular basis and the leaf burn can be bad. I also get a good amount of scale and aphid infestations on various trees and the castile soap kills them too. It's so much cheaper than the prepared insecticidal soaps. A little goes a long way. I get mine at Target. It's hard to find in the store! In my Target it's with the lotions, not with soaps, oddly. "Safer Brand" insecticidal soap is a ready made brand that contains potassium salts of fatty acids and this is from there site... So... What are Spider Mites? Adult spider mites are tiny plant pests that are actually a type of arachnid. Like spiders, they have eight legs and most species spin webs. They can be red, brown, yellow or light green in color. Natural & Organic Controls What? The combination of Insecticidal Soap and Botanical Pyrethrins will kill Spider Mites on contact if they are spotted on your plants and Neem oil helps prevent re-infestation by killing the egg and larval stages of the insect. How? Pyrethrin is a powerful nerve agent and will paralyze and kill the insect on contact. Keep in mind this soap is not like dish detergent, its a base from a blend of natural plant sources and pyrethrin oils and come from the chrysanthemum flower. An effective and organic combination... When? Spray Insect Soap & Pyrethrin as a contact killer. Use in accordance with directions on the product label. Spray the neem oil product in accordance with directions on the product label. Please check out our spider mite control products for more details about how they work and how, when, and where they should be applied. ------ Reading this, it looks like the Neem kills the egg and larval stage, but not the adult which might be why you are still having this problem. The soap eliminates the adult for sure. Ben - thats an interesting article. Yes , all my grafted plants comes from RareImports, they get them from Thailand. For me its cheaper to drive 30 min to RareImports as they are based in WA. I did look at importing myself, but, the treatment of plants and permit cost too much. Also, I spoke to the owner few weeks ago, he told me the whole shippment container of Adenium got destroyed as they found 1 sick plant, they didnt treat the single plant they destroyed all, he wasn't happy. So I think its risky to import, especially in the WA where they have tough importing laws. I think I'm lucky living 30 min drive from RareImports nursery :)

Chris, I do not share my photo's via my phone. I use Photobucket for this.
I do remember someone earlier using phone and they where seeing them upside down.
I believe Laura spoke of this and may be aware how to?

Why not post a new thread and use " Posting my Adenium Photo's by Cell?"
This way people will not think it is spam, as they will see Adenium in title.

Hi Everyone!!!

When using your cell and posting from your pics that are stored there... You can hit the choose file right above this Block you are typing in... It will ask you to choose existing or to take a new pic.. Pic the pic you want and it will add it to the post right by the " choose file" This way you can only load one pic at a time... Which you can use from your cell.. It's easy. If you need more info on that just ask!!!

Lol. Rick.. It does seen some have problems with apple iPads , I phones and pics being upside down. Some see it looking " normal". Others on pc view it upside down or sideways.. I believe it the way the pic was taken on iPads if not taken a certain way. Some turn the iPad and it looks right to the person viewing, but posting its not.. ;-). I try and correct for people when I see it because it has happened to me.. Lol. But no one would tell me. I thought they looked correct.. ;-)

If you use photobucket or any other place to store pics , you can copy / paste the HTML llink into the body of the message . Then when you preview the message you will see your pics if you want to post more than one...

I'll go to my photobucket acct and take a pic of what i copy. Maybe that will help to add more pics than only one to the body of your message..

Laura, you ve a vy beautiful plant. I will try to learn to upload more pictures, and thanls for advise, In your post you ve mention about by using the choose file but do you mean that I only can post one picture at a time and if I want to post four photos then I ve to post four times? But even I pick one picture from from my files, the preview button still cannot work, which make me vy confuse.

Whether by phone, pad or computer, you can only ever upload one picture at a time on GardenWeb, most probably because they do not have the capacity to host all the files.

Your best option is to get an account in any photo hosting site and embed the links in the post, as Laura instructed. Imgur is my personal favorite.

On an Android phone, pictures are automatically orientated regardless of how it is taken. If you are using an Apple product, as always, I am of no use to anyone lol

I use photobucket or Imgur as it allows me to post multiple photo's within one thread.
