That is an interesting observation. Something similar yet different that may just apply to seedlings in general? I did two runs of bell peppers from seed as the first died of neglect. In the meantime I filled Mom's garden with nursery stock peppers likely a month older. Detirmined to try some of the mixed bag seedlings I potted them in large terra cotta colored plastic pots and placed them on a concrete pad at the end of the veggie garden. While the older plants are carrying larger fruit the potted plants clearly larger and stronger (might pot them all next year, more room for tomatos). Guess it's a combination of the heat on the concrete and the pots? Perhaps even something to the potting soil? I can't be sure but I do recall seeing some awesome potted veggie trellis plants at a nursery that were geared for apt. dwellers/ patio gardners. Certainly going to keep an eye on progress and production, could be helpful for bare root starts? Wes

Fee-only is a better way to go but you still have to be careful. The trouble is that people don't know anything about investing and don't know the proper questions to ask. A few years ago I thought I needed a financial advisor but I also did a bit of research and I ended up doing my own investing. It's not hard. I'm convinced at this point that the 'financial advice' business is, with very few exceptions, a scam. And how does someone find one of those rare exceptions? Never pay a 'percent of assets' (wrap) fee. That's an ongoing (and unearned) fee that eats up your nestegg. Only pay an hourly or one time fee. Know your fund fees (expense ratio). Lukki, I'm sure bugs will still get inside our home, but it should slow them down from getting in through the screened porch when the door is open since it covers up the spaces between the deck boards. Not many were getting in, but whenever the door was open at night, we'd notice more bugs inside the house. Yep, I was in Cali visiting our daughter and her family. We hadn't seen them in over a year and our darling granddaughter was a blast. She's so funny. I have traveled more in the last three years than I had in the whole thirty plus years of my marriage before hubby started to travel for a living. Though I enjoy it, it's also very tiring. I'm just starting to feel like I have myself again. Cyn, that's not a bad idea. I might have to do that as we install our baseboard throughout the house.
