PTO generator hookup to home-w/o transfer switch

There have been repeated arguments in the past on the "right" way to hookup a generator of any kind to your home in the case of a power outage, and it usually ends up with bickering and fighting about the right, the wrong, and the safe way to do it. I knew there was a product out there that interlocked the main breaker of your panel with a breaker to backfeed from a generating source, and have finally ran across it again. It's the Square D Generator interlock kit. It's available in the following configurations:

QOCGK2 for interior Square D QO series panel

HOMCGK2 for interior Square D Homeline series panels

QORBGK2 for exterior Square D QO series panels

HOMRBGK2 for exterior Square D Homeline series panel.

These sell for approx $75,and are simple enough for a homeowner to install himself.
