I got notified on Monday, got the roses today. They look great. I am going to have to dig a huge hole for Livin' Easy - the roots are gi-normous on that beast.

nope I got the email 4 days after I received the roses. In fact I received my 2nd order already and I have not received the shipping notice.

Well, hopefully that is the case and my roses will beat the fedex tracking. I just read about others ordering theirs and getting them pretty quickly. So I wondered if it was just my unlucky "luck" with ordering things...melanie

Well, my (4) roses showed up yesterday, the box was on my porch when I got home from work. We had a function at one of our kid's schools last night, so before we left I quickly opened the box and tossed them all into a 5 Gal bucket full of water. Happy as a clam due to the large size of the roses they shipped.

Tonight I planned on planting them. Dug my holes, amended, planted my first one, planted my second one, went to plant the third and realized that they sent me the wrong rose. :I ordered an Livin' Easy but they sent me a Purple Passion. I just got off the phone with them and they said that the roses are no longer available and wouldn't be able to replace my missing Livin' Easy. :>( They credited my account for the price of the rose, and are allowing me to keep the Purple Passion, but I'm still a bit dissappointed not getting what I wanted.

Be sure to check your shipments for accuracy.

Just an FYI on the tracking. Companies can create the labels for their packages in their own offices, and the labels have a tracking number (if you go to FedEx and pick up some shipping forms, you'll see a tracking number on the form). The company then sends you an e-mail with the tracking number, but the package hasn't been picked up yet. When FedEx or UPS actually picks up the package and scans the label, it will then show up in their tracking systems. Once the label is scanned by the shipper, then you can start tracking.

I got an email early this week that my rose was due today.
We'll see if it arrives. I think I ordered it early last week so it has taken longer than I thought.
But the price is right so hopefully it will come today!

I can only imagine the amount of roses they had and the amount of orders that came in... I'm amazed they are shipping all of them out so competently...

I also ordered on the 13th and was notified they shipped on the 21st. They arrived on the 20th, and are in the ground already. I hope yours arrive soon! Overall, I'm very pleased.

The year that I bought 110 Park Wayside bareroot roses at their end of June sale, the spring had been cold and wet and their rose orders were down, so the chatter went. And they had between three and four thousand roses to sell.
(the price was $1 per bush, cash and carry only).

I ordered mine on the 14th-FINALLY got an email yesterday with a tracking number. The tracking number showed that they had attempted delivery Wednesday AND Thursday but there were security issues. Called FedEx today for an explanation and they said security was a code for a problem, but not in terms of a danger issue. No joy there since they said they couldn't answer me until Tuesday. I said that these were live plants and that WAS an issue. Called HD Customer Service and got a very nice young lady who made some calls for me-turns out they had the wrong house number on the shipping label, even though I had given them the right one. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Anyway, they turned up late this afternoon. They have been in transit since the 20th and rather than the lovely damp muddy roots some folks have mentioned, these were dampish in some cases and dry in others, no surprise with these temperatures. Since we only get 3 days from day of delivery to file a claim, I have to make a decision what to do.

Thanks to everyone on their shipping experiences. I did receive my bareroots on the 22nd. The day AFTER I got my shipping email. The roses were in good shape, though I can't plant them because it won't stop raining...grrr...

my home depot rose arrived late last week. I soaked it for a few days and potted it up over the weekend. I checked it today and it's not looking great. 3 of the canes are black ( i pruned them off) and the other two canes aren't too impressive. Should I call and ask for a replacement?
I received a bunch of bareroots from J&P 2 weeks ago and they looked much better than this one. Almost all are green with little canes starting.

I was excited to get a "touch of class" but this rose isn't looking too classy!

Well, I soaked my order that FINALLY arrived Friday after 3 days on the FedEx truck. Out of the 4 roses, only 1 looks like it might make it-the other 3 not so much-gray and broken canes and as previously mentioned, dry roots. Mindful of the 3 day warranty period for online orders I called HD yesterday. Initially they said I could return them and get 10 percent off a new order. That was not a player. Frankly if that's how they ship, with no wrappings or anything to attempt to keep roots wet, I'd just as soon skip another order. It ended with me getting credit for the roses and leaving it at that. Looks like I'll have to go elsewhere for my Just Joey. :(

That is a shame. All 4 of mine are beginning to leaf out already including just joey.

cindyabs - sounds like I better call them ASAP. that one they sent me looks pathetic I think it dies a little more each day. I know a 6.00 rose with free shipping was a great deal but not for a DOA rose.....

Well I just called HD and they are sending me a replacement free of charge. The rep on the phone was very nice. Hope this one is better!
