I think they are fairly similar but yours definitely look like two different roses to me. So you probably have them both.

Thank you, Tammy! The photos you posted here do appear to be two, distinct roses. It's quite possible they could be very similar and are probably sister seedlings from the same cross. You know how similar siblings can be. Your Grumpy photos here appear to have fewer but wider petals. Doc appears to have more, smaller, "frillier" petals like the one I purchased from Sequoia many years ago does. When my Doc is grown in a cooler, damper climate than mine, it appears more like the photos on HMF where the flowers are larger, darker pink with a more pronounced white center. I've not grown Grumpy. I had Dopey once and enjoyed how it quickly turned from dull, dark red to deep green, but it didn't flower long enough in my climate. When I sought to obtain the best blooming ones, I was advised Doc and Bashful are the two which flower earliest, longest and latest in the heat. The others shut down for the season when it gets hot here. Typical of multiflora types in hot zones. Kim

I'm glad to hear you both think they are different...but boy, are they similar! :) Like you said Kim, sister seedling and they all resemble daddy Robinhood!

I have 6 of the 7 from the dwarfs series (I had Happy but he was proptly killed by my dog & I haven't replaced him yet) . All of them look somewhat similar to me, but with the exception of these two, I can easily tell them apart. All of them are very healthy here and the blooms seem to last quite awhile and repeat well.

I think my favorite of the series is Sneezy, who is the most red to me. I also really like Bashful, but he lives up to his name, and is still the slowest growing of the group, which was all planted the same year (Grumpy being the largest).

Tammy, you were probably the main lady who wanted cuttings from my Cl Happy, eh?! I'm so glad you posted about the dwarves, because my Happy is really happy this year, and he's ready for cuttings :)

Poor Happy didn't like being transplanted for a while there, but he's lovely now. He's a gorgeous red, y'all, and so pretty climbing!
