This lawn tractor was given to me so I don't know how old it is, but I'm sure it wasn't maintained well. I got it running but it doesn't like to restart when hot. When cool it starts fine with no choke and on full throttle, but when hot it sometimes doesn't even want to crank, and if it does it often doesn't start. If I jump it it cranks much faster and will usually start.

The other day it wouldn't restart so I just put it away for the day, and a few days later it still wouldn't start. I decided to throw on a new spark plug as it had the same as when it was given to me. I went looking for the same champion that was in it (which looked fine), but lowes was sold out and the only one they had that would fit was the e3. The guy said he uses them and they work great, so that's what I got. I put it in and it started right up. But after running a while it started missing and stalled. It's gotten to where I can run it about 15 - 30 min and then it dies, but if I let it sit a while it'll restart.

After searching the forums my guess is that the valves need to be adjusted. If you agree with this does anyone have the correct procedure to do this? Thanks.
