The question has been posed to me whether there is a miticide to knock down the mites responsible for spreading RRD/RRV. The current garden has some roses with the disease. The person is moving to another state and wishes to propagate some of their roses to take with them, but wants to increase the chances of taking only healthy material. The hope is by knocking down the mites responsible for the disease spread, infection might be limited to those already exposed. Do you think there is any merit to the idea of treating for the mites to reduce potential spread and if so, with what? Thanks. Kim
