trees planted too deep!

User

After much research and wonderful help on these forums, I realize I've planted some trees too deep. I must have thought they were going to blow over! Or maybe I thought I was planting tomatoes! I learned my lesson, but now I need help deciding what to do--three of them have bark damage (not caused by insects). One is a maple that doesn't look like it will grow this year, but maybe I can save the other two. Mountain Ash and Weeping Willow, they're about 3 yrs. old, 4-6 feet high. I'm thinking of digging them up and replanting since the frost is out of the ground now. I figure if I'm going to lose them anyway, it's worth a try??
