feeling sick (whine)

Just want to whine. My head hurts horribly -- mix of sinus head and hormonal headache, I feel queasy, ugh ...

And today was supposed to be my day to dig in the dirt too. :(

I know what you mean. Saturday was beautiful but I had the flu and didnt feel like doing anything.

The crud's going around. I am better today but everything I looked at yesterday made me dizzy.

Feeling sick about new floor transition

I hope everything works out to your satisfaction. I cringe when I see that transition. I also had flooring installed to match existing hardwood, both of which come off a higher kitchen floor. When they installed my transition thresholds, they were 1 1/4 high with no slope! When I said that was unacceptable, he said that looked the best with the "massive height difference" and ugly tile edge. No way can that be code. Meanwhile there is a perfectly acceptable reducing threshold right across from his installed by somebody else. Thank goodness you have someone who will work with you for such a big job. I just got sick of talking about it. I was able to find a 3/4 reducer, cut it to fit with a small lip over the tile. If the edge is not perfect I'll run some grout. The poly is drying on it to match floor. Installing them tomorrow.

Tinker, I remember those posts you made. I'm so glad that everything is working out for you! I totally understand the whole second guessing thing. Right now I have my "kitchen in a bag" I bring with me to show everyone. In the bag is a sample of my granite, handles, flooring and cabinet paint. My husband thinks I'm crazy. (in a good way!). Perimenopause and feeling sick

"I haven't had a period in years and where periods and pms were a nightmare for me, menopause was a breeze (especially when compared to all the years of painful pms)" My sisters and I joke it's karmic revenge :). We all had/have horrible, nightmarish cycle issues. PMS, cramps, hemorrhagic bleeding, you name it we got it. And all of us have wanted to kill our friends when they would start with that blithe 'oh yeah I had a cramp once, I think' and 'no, I don't really do PMS'. And then comes perimenopause and the light dawns for those lucky, lucky ladies-yeah, it's not much fun, is it. Me, bitter? Me, vengeful? Me, obnoxious? Guilty as charged LOL. Seriously, I hope those who are having a rough time seek medical assistance because some of the suffering can be relieved. And I'm here to say that time really does make it better, at least it has for me. Personally after living with the aptly named curse for 40+ years (menarche at 11, menopause at 52) my life post-menopause is rainbows and lollipops. Other than issues with dryness and lack of libido caused by hormonal changes in my organs....menopause has been the biggest blessing in my life. I feel so much better on a daily basis, my moods are more even, I don't have to deal with the monthly agonies. Wouldn't go back for anything. I think I'm done with hot flashes and night sweats too -

I'm glad you feel better, my family has been one up one down for a few weeks now. If it's not me and the hubby it's the kids.
At the moment to my knowledge we are all ok. Hope everyone else keeps up on their vitamins.

Just so you know, the 'bug' is just about cross country right now - seems a little late in the season to me. I just wanted to share an email I got from my nephews wife yesterday. Nephew has full custody of two small children and married a wonderful young woman with a daughter same age as his, so she cares for three kids, works enough hours to maintain an employee merchandise discount and 401K, has her own small business in their home...

Friday Kxxli had the flu.
Sunday, Kxxie and I both had the flu.
Today, Lxxn is in bed with the flu.
The only live souls in the house who have not been sick are the cat and the dog! Love You, L.
