Old Brass Sprinklers

I recently purchased a house that has an older sprinkler system. It consists of full circle brass heads that sit flush with the grass and pop up approx 2 inches and spin. The nozzle portion has 2 holes that spray the water out as the sprinkler spins. I cant make the name out on top of the head. Problem is a few of these heads dont spin anymore. Do these heads still exist?

I attempted to swap out with a newer plastic spray head but they dont throw the water as far. The link below is what the top of the head looks like, however, mine pops up and spins.

Champion has some like these. They spray about 15 feet in each direction. You can get the plastic heads with an adjustable
18 van from Rain Bird these spray 18 feet in each direction.

I've put in 2 NEW Orbit brass Pop-up sprinklers at the same location. When it pops up, the water is spewing from the base of the stem not through poped up head. this was the same problem I had on the first one. I thought it might be lack of pressure but the down line sprinkler is spraying correctly. What would cause these sprinkler or stems to malfunction? thanks for your suggestion.

can't get old sprinkler head out, can I place an extension on it?

If you remove it you can put a riser on the pipe to get it up higher. you should be able to spin it off with a pair of channel locks or a riser extractor. Here is a link that might be useful: do_it_your_self_site
