It is because of the thoughtful information that you and others have shared on this forum that I got the courage and installed my first drip irrigation zone using drip line. It's is a miracle how good my roses look amidst this terrible heatwave and drought.

Now I am going to add a zone for containers so that I can stop having to water by hand each day.

They do, but nothing worth using, in my opinion. It's usually only something like 10% off of a specific product that they need to move that month. The ones that came up in my email search were for gloves one month and respirators, goggles and tyvek suits another month. Quite useless. I've never seen a coupon that gave any discount at all on the big sprayer's price. Moreover, the sprayer I bought from them (the $134 dollar smaller rechargeable model) broke soon after I got it, and I cannot get it fixed. The tank built up too much pressure and that caused a hose inside to come off. When you take the sprayer apart to put the hose back on, which entails removing a gasket, the gasket turns out to be irreplaceable. You can't put the old one back on, and you can't get a new one, and then the whole sprayer is a goner. And even if you could get a new gasket, there must be a special piece of machinery that holds the gasket just right to assemble the pieces. My sprayer from them turned out to be a total waste of money. My conversation with Rosemania then went something like this -- Me -- is there anyplace I can send this sprayer to get it fixed? Them -- no, there is not, but "We hope you will consider Rosemania for your future rose and rose care product needs. Thanks for your past support." Grrr . . . Kathy

Maureen, I know of no discount codes or coupons for Klehms Nursery and have never heard of them offering any. I have gotten their catalog for several years and have purchased peonies from them but never their clematis. I can say that their peonies were large in size and worth the money and not expensive to ship since you get the soilless tubers when you order peonies. I have heard others rave about their clematis plants as having big root balls and being very large. The downside is that you have to pay shipping charges based on weight and that further adds to the cost of their plants. That is why I like ordering clematis from Dan at Brushwood since shipping is included in their prices or from Chalk Hill since they have gone to the longer but thinner containers which helps in reducing their shipping charges.

I have 1gph drippers with 12" spacing that I run for 3 hours once a week on clay soil that has been mulched and composted for many years. I hope that the roses are getting a deep enough soak. I think they are based on this one fact. I grow mostly landscape roses IE Carefree Spirit, Carefree Sunshine, Whiteout, Citrus Splash, Knockout etc and they are blooming continously the new buds are forming before the old blooms have fallen off and we have gotten very little rain since late April.

My next hurdle is to find out what it takes to get a seperate water meter for irrigation and a faucet somewhere to feed the drip system.

I probably should start a new thread for this but I am thinking of using a nursery/ greenhouse setup for my container clusters using netafim drippers with mod splitters and arrow drippers. Is there anything/problems I should look out for with this type of setup. I will insert a link to some info on it.

My first question would be how much water demand or volume do you think you would need at peak production of your nursery/greenhouse? The people to talk to about the cost for a separate meter installed on your property is your local water purveyor. If they consider this a commercial endeavor it might be pricey. Usually you provide a valve box with shutoff valve and a meter box with piping and splicer piece of pipe that they will replace when they drop the new meter in. The cost depends on the size of the meter and your water demand needs. They will charge you for the tapping of the mainline in the road and running copper line to the meter valve location and provide the meter. They will hook all the piping up and test for leaks.
