If anybody takes a chance on these roses I strongly recommend Purple passion. Great vigorous rose, intense lemony scent, bushy not leggy.

one of my favs and this is the one of the few places you can get it.

I have a fragrant wave, which I bought two years ago as body bag from Costco. It is very healthy and vigorous in my zone and I love the blooms.

I bought lots from them last year. They came in a reasonable time, and were very healthy plants and are still doing very well. Because of my good experience with them last year, I was waiting for the sale this year.

Be careful hiding that ramp. If the bushes grow into the ramp, the handicapped person could get hurt by the thorns when using it.

I wouldn't order roses from Wayside even if they were giving them away. Just my not so good experience with them.

Wayside is also charging a $2.50 fuel surcharge. I thought gas prices had dropped. Kind of kills the sales prices.
If you've ever seen their display gardens, you'd be hesitant to buy anything from them

I will not order plants from Wayside as long as I live.
Several years back, I ordered daylilies from Wayside but what I got weren't daylilies but miserable looking almost rotten roots of cheap plant. I forgot the name of plants but flowers are small ball shaped purple color and onion family.

I see roots of this plant on other gardening stores priced less than 30 cents.
How much did I pay for daylilies?
I paied almost $50.

Needless to say, I got back what I paid minus shipping and handling but my experience taught me about Wayside.

I would stay far away from Wayside, too! I have gotten inferior plants with pitiful root sytems, and also a mystery rose (turned out to be scentimental) instead of what I actually ordered. They were, however, very gracious about giving me a refund. But I would prefer not to have the hassle in the first place. I have better luck with companies that specialize in roses. Wayside buys roses from other vendors and resells them, so you never know what you will get.

You know, I'm sorry I said anything at all. I'm pretty new here and new with roses and thought I'd make a comment. I had a good experience with Wayside and thought others might be interested in the sale. You know what - just disregard.

Thanks for the tip; don't feel bad about posting it. I went to the web site and decided to buy several of the Kordes roses and climbers that are on sale. We'll see how this experience goes.

Please don't feel bad. I am glad you posted. There's also a promotion code, SPRING15, that gives you 15% off for your first order. I called their customer service and was told that the roses are one year old grafted.

As the original poster here, I wanted to follow up on my post. I received my Wayside roses today and I must say, they look very nice, very good root system and canes that look like they want to bud very soon. They are much better than I expected after reading the above posts and I feel like they are worth the sale price that I paid. I can't wait to soak them in the bath tub tonight and get them in the ground tomorrow. I had no problem at all with Wayside at all and would order from them again.

Half of my wayside roses from last spring didnt make it through the winter. They have a lousy warranty of the season purchased therefore no refunds or credits. I know Dutch Gardens has a bad reputation in this forum but at least they give credits.

I have ordered roses from Wayside several times and they were ok. I just ordered one from their 50% sale. When it comes to other type of plants....I'd shy away from Parkseed and Wayside. Years ago Parkseed used to ship quality plants, but that has long since went out the window. The last few non rose type plants they sent me have been jokes.
