Over torqued spark plug Echo SRM 210

I have a 3 year old, lightly used (only filled with fuel 3-4 times) srm 210 trimmer that I stripped the spark plug hole threads.

My general rule for fixing or replacing something is that if the repair cost 40% or more of replacement cost is to replace the item. Therefore, can this be repaired for less than $80? I would like to keep the repair cost as low as possible, since I haven't been fully satisfied with this trimmer (it has blown fuel out the exhaust since day one, otherwise it runs ok).
