I have had double decker coneflowers for a few years, the pink variety. Last year I had about 8 true double deckers, just like the ones in the photos on web sites. Mostly though the flowers looked like normal coneflowers, with a bunch with so many petals that they looked like a carnation, and a few with petals in the normal spot, but 4 of 5 deep.

This year I have one true double decker on the pink coneflowers, BUT... on a white swan plant I have one true double decker!!!! It is one that naturalized itself in my garden. A fluke for sure.

Anyone ever seen a white double decker? Think it was pollinated with the pink doubles?
