Is there any chips I shouldn't put in lasagna or compost pile?

I have access to the most incredible "greens", water hyacinth. They can cause a wet-n-stinky situation if too much is used. Except for wood chips, "Browns" are hard for me to get.

One of local tree removal companies will deliver all the wood chips I want for free.

Three questions;

Is there any type of tree who's chips I should NOT incorporate into lasagna beds or compost piles?

What is the maximum percentage of cardboard or paper you would recommend for a healthy-n-nutritious compost pile?

How would, for instance, a compost pile of cardboard, paper, wood chips, grass clippings and water hyacinth be for the ONLY contents in my compost?
