I recommend 'Julia Child'. It is: fragrant, very disease resistant, non fading and floriferous. I was never a fan of yellow roses, but JC won me over.

How about 'Sun Flare'?

I doubt though if this rose's color will last a day or two in our tropical climate. I still have to see a non-fading yellow rose here that can withstand our hot and wet climate. All yellow roses I've seen here when planted in full sun start to lose their yellow color 24 hours after fully opening. The fading process is usually completed in 2-3 days which means that by day 3, the color will have no hint whatsoever of its previous color and will look no different from an off-white rose.

The one Âyellow rose that I have however that is resistant to fading given our hot and wet tropical climate is not a pure yellow but a yellow blend. This non-fading yellow blend rose looks very much like Ambiance rose though I'm not sure if it is what I have. The color after a week is still yellow although lighter, while the edges gradually turn pinkish red. The color transformation is beautiful (not like in most yellow roses which rapidly fade to dull, uninteresting off-white colors).

Compared to 'Gold medal' under the same hot and wet conditions, by the second or third day, the color of Gold medal is practically off-white with no hint of yellow whatsoever.

You should therefore check at your climate zone and growing conditions (whether full sun, heavy rainfall, etc.) because it can be the limiting factor to what you can consider as 'non-fading'.

Skip Radiant perfume!!! The flowers only last a day, and I don't get very many. My plant is 3 years old, very big and healthy, but I am waiting for the flowers still.

Yes..if you read in here Radiant Perfume is getting blasted. I think Julia Child is the best bet

Julia Child is a great one. I have two, but I will admit that her blooms definitely fade. They start a buttercup yellow and fade to pale yellow. And the petals falls off the flower after several days. But, very healthy beautiful foliage, profuse bloomer all summer, sweet licorice smell. She's a keeper.

Sunsprite is an underrated yellow, in my opinion. She smells strong too, a nice citrus-like scent. I would describe her as a true yellow, the color of a lemon. And she holds color better than Julia Child.

Shockwave holds its color well for me here.

I too have been looking to get the perfect high centered strong scented non fading yellow rose for my garden. The search is still ongoin. Has anyone had any experience with Midas Touch Hybrid Tea? Is it non-fading? I wanted to purchase one and thought i would wait to see if anyone has it. Also what of DAVID Austin's Golden Celebration rose, this is another one i wanted. Any info you can give will help me to decide if i purchase these two roses.

Well, if it could be a floribunda - how about Lemon Zest. Mine is in it's first year and its in a pot. I can see the bright yellow (almost flourescent) from far away. Lots of flowers, quick rebloom and DOES NOT FADE! :) Fragrance is a very nice lemon.

I am looking Julia Child and it does fade a bit. Still, it is better than many yellows. I think Midas Touch deserves a look.

I have Julia Child, St. Patrick, and Henry Fonda. Henry Fonda is bright yellow and takes a long time to fade. The flowers last for weeks, and although they do fade to a regular light yellow after a week or so, they still look great. I'm a big fan of this rose- it puts out wave after wave of bright flowers.

First you must determine if the rose is hardy in zone 5. Golden Celebration died on me the first winter even though it had lots of growth during the summer.

I planted a new yellow HT this year and so far have been very impressed with the non-fading color, large blooms, clean disease resistant foliage, and the light but definite fragrance. It is Aztec Gold.

Julia definitely fades. We planted Hotel California this year. This is a gorgeous high centered bright non-fading yellow. Lots of blooms, some fragrance and little disease.

Julia Child definitely fades here (but the two-toned effect in this case is not unattractive to me). I also have St. Patrick which does not seem to fade but it is a greenish yellow.

The one yellow I have that surprisingly does NOT fade or fry is Graham Thomas and he is in full sun, from sun up to sun down and it has been triple digit temperatures here practically every day since March. I don't think this is the type of rose that you are looking for, however.

Shockwave does not fade in my garden, nor does Midas Touch. My only issue with MT is it doesn't last as long on the bush as I would prefer.

Among my 68 roses i only have 1 yellow hybrid tea (it is an unknown) purchased and planted as a surprise for me, i never knew the name. But it is high centered and does fade some but not til some days later. So i would like to incorporate a few more in the garden in other areas. Graham Thomas would be a good edition, i looked at this one the J&P site. Has anyone grown HONEY DIJON, this looks like a very nice mustard yellow rose.

Throw out Radiant Perfume, it does not repeat well at all.

Julia does fade, love it though.

Midas is a wonderful non fading yellow and fragrant. Try this one.

St patrick is great and great form but a light scent.

Shockwave has none to mild fragrance and although the pic above is awesome, some of the pics have a red hue on the fully open flower edges

Hotel california has a mild fragrance according to HMF.

Golden Celebration is a climber here, love it

I also have 2 yellow climbers Golden Showers (wonderful despite the name), and Scent from above (finally coming into its own in the 3rd year)

In addition I have buccaneer but that is difficult to find.

Are any of the yellow Buck roses non-fading. How about Prairie Harvest or Winter Sunset. What about Topaz Jewel? Teasing Georgia?

I got Mellow Yellow this year and so far I'm impressed with it. If it fades, then very little. Mellow Yellow may be my favorite new rose this year.

Prairie Harvest hardly fades, but is certainly more orange-y than yellow. It's a soft orange though, like apricot. The blooms blow very quickly and have very little scent. The only reason I still have it is that is vigorous and clean.

I have a first year plant of Ch-Ching...and it is the all yellow sport of Strike it Rich...and it's great. Don't give a d___ aout show form. You can alredy tell it's a great loomer. The color stays forwever.

I just got Scent from Above from the Jackson Perkins sale. Its a climber. It was advertised as a non fading yellow. I haven't planted it yet. Does anybody have any opinions on it? I got it and now don't know exactly where to plant it!? I am curious to know if there claim that its non fading is true.

I love Shockwave as it doesn't fade and is a prolific bloomer. I just planted Radiant Perfume and the flowers didn't fade but other posters weren't impressed so I will see. Julia Child is beautiful but does fade some but I still love the bush. Gold Medal is beautiful as well.

I have been asking myself this very question. I would like a yellow HT to order this winter. I was debating between Henry Fonda and Midas Touch. Maybe I should consider Hotel California, though.
