Sounds like you'll need to explain that this hoophouse/greenhouse/prophouse is subject to fail in climates with snow accumulation. What about shipping costs? What's the package weight? Are the end-walls framed for a heater, exhaust fan and exhaust shutters? What are they made of? What thickness of poly? Nobody wants a green, blue, red, orange, or black "house." They need, clear or white. Personally, the greenhouse hoop bender tool is the best thing on the market today for "smaller" hoophouses such as what you are trying to sell. Instead of PVC, fence rails are bent (much stronger) with ease to form the house. There's a guy on ebay selling this item. Search "Greenhouse Hoop Bender" or something like that. What kind of door is included? What kind of window???? who needs a window? Nobody needs a window is the answer. You have a lot of holes to fill possibly. I don't believe you know what you're getting into. Have you ever used a house? Especially this particular one you wish to sell? 9,999 questions, I know. But maybe this will help you. Dax

I'm about to buy my first greenhouse; one I seen at the Pensacola Jr. College spring garden show in Milton Florida. It's certified to meet Florida wind codes (which was important to me since we've been hit by two hurricanes and two tropical storms in less than a year. It's metal frame construction, with UV protected double wall polycarbonate, a bench all the way around, thermostatic fan, wired for electricity with wiring inside metal conduit with receptacles and overhead light, overhead rails on both sides for hanging baskets, shade cloth on one side attached to curtain rings that can be pulled aside, all for $3300. There's a $180 fee for delivery, set up and tie down. You can put it on a gravel, brick or concrete floor or they will build you a pressure treated floor for $2.50/sf. The builder and his wife are both master gardeners and members of the local garden club. They've been working and improving the design for a couple of years now. I'm really impressed, don't know about you. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll give you their phone number and/or directions.

Cape Cod has some of the highest electricity rates in the country. From what I read, you pay 17 cents per kw hour. Your 400 watt light would be .4kw, making it 6.8 cents per hour for you to run. That's about $50/month for you to run that light. And if you're also buying kerosene and running through a gallon or two per night, you'll spend twice that much in fuel. Artificial light is too expensive if you're poor (like me). So is heat. If you want to make something from nothing, grow cold-weather crops like greens over the winter and seedlings for your outdoor garden in the spring. If you want heat, the most economical is a low-wattage heating cable run through a raised bed. It will provide just enough heat so that at least the roots don't freeze. fwiw, I use wood heat, but I'm in a rural area and get firewood for next to nothing. It's not practical for everyone, but it is the cheapest way to heat a structure. Good luck with your project.

no experience, but this would be a great example of why people often don't pull permits. Too much red tape, and it sounds like you're trying to comply yet they're trying to discourage you from installing it. It also sounds like the mfr knows people are doing this, and/or your locality has really strict requirements. If you didn't pull a permit, have you put yourself on a list that the city will come back to some day looking to see if it's there? Or do they do drive-bys looking for improvements (not uncommon in my area)? Would this become a huge problem then? I'd ask myself that before I made a final decision. For all the additional costs w/a permit, I'd want to be growing some rare orchids or something to justify it, unless you're rich lol.
