Are they green? Could be cucumber beetles and I think they do munch roses.

They are dermestid beetles, otherwise known as carpet beetles.
They usually eat dead things.

Do you grow fennel?

I had a problem with these, they ate my sweaters several years ago in my last place! Doing some research I read somewhere that the adult beetles are attracted to fennel, which we had a good bit of growing in the yard by the house.

The larva eat dead things (wool, silk, hair, feathers, etc.) but the adults are attracted by fennel.

No, don't grow fennel. Only thing new in the garden is strawberries. They seem to be house pests (haven't seen one in the house, but now I'm afraid to bring bouquets into the house), but TONS in blooms. I read they eat pollen in their adult stage. Can they be of any harm to my roses?

I'm completely no spray and I don't want to start now. Hoping I can just leave them be, and mother nature will do her thing.

They could come in if you are seeing many, to find places to lay eggs (ie, your woolens if not well stored). Look for them on windowsills and inside overhead lights, if you have the kinds with open glass shades that cover bulbs. That will give you an idea if they are using the house as a breeding ground.

I watch the lights for them, actually, as I do not want a repeat of what I went thru before.

I saw my first one last week. I store everything in spacebags now, as mothballs will only kill the larve if they are sealed inside closed boxes w/ no way out to hold the gasses.

I am not sure what they mean for your roses and can't remember if/what their predatory bugs are, but know that they will destroy any woolens, leather, and any protein fibers quite thoroughly. They can be very hard to get rid of if they take hold inside.

There are two types of bugs there. One solid black on the right and one 'stripey' on the left.

I am attaching a photo of the black vine beetle which DOES do damage. I had this one and Victoria from Regans suggested that I get beneficial nematodes . It worked within a month or so.

Whoops, sorry! I didn't even see the other one on the right. I'm totally conditioned to look for carpet beetles and zoomed in to the striped one on the left!
