Help me ID this Louisiana mystery rose

My friend brought cuttings of this rose back from Louisiana, where it came from her great-great- (great?)-aunt's garden. She says that people call them rambling roses. "One of our neighbors went into horticulture. He's the one who told me that they're a type called Bourbon roses and originated around 1848." Now my understanding is that rambling roses are not the same as bourbon roses, but I could be wrong. The rose itself is 2-1/4 inches in natural spread, and is moderately fragrant, with a sharp sweetness. I'm told that it grows into enormous garden-swallowing bushes, and blooms throughout the year. Do you have any idea the name of this rose?
