Eek! I have to move my Westerland! Is this hard??

Aarggh.... Just when I thought it was nicely settled in, after a couple of years, I have to move my Westerland climber! My hubby did a nice landscaping of the back yard, but the new fencing and shed have put my Westerland into a wrong spot, so to speak. Now it is blocking the view to my Pearly Gates climber and my little Lavaglut. He's all for throwing out the bush, but I never say die, so I have the urge to move it.... A trade, I guess, with Lavaglut. Then Westerland can sprawl a bit, and I've always wanted to try pegging it.

Luckily, this is still about the last week to prune back rose bushes here. For moving the bush, I guess it will have to be cut way back to a manageable size, like the 3-gal bushes from a store, say?? I know I can't move it by myself unless I chop back the canes! It was going up and over a small arch, 6 or 8 feet up! So what would you do? Cut the canes back to 3 or 4 feet? or less?

teri2k, perplexed.
