I use a wireless but it does not connect to my computer. However, it records the high and low temps on two different sensors (one inside the GH and one outside it). It sits on my TV. It's a WS-9029U model.

Yes I keep track of temps in GH while setting in the house.
Saves me going out to check to see if everything is ok at night. It realy does get cold in Florida in the winter. I grow orchids and start a lot of seed so I do have to run heater in the winter at night.

I have a Davis wireless weather station. I use it to mainly keep track of temperature and humidity. I use some other software to update the conditions to my website so I can check in on it at any time. You can also maintain climate logs if you are so inclined. It's been pretty handy more than once. I have details of the unit in the greenhouse overview and descriptions of the software on the links page (LOL, it's listed under "Geek Porn").

Due to recent high humidities, I have moved one of my fans so it is presently not registering any air flow/wind....but the fans are on.

I've been planing to build a web accessible monitor / control for my fans and temps based on an arduino board and some thermistors, relays, and be able to add in any feature I want later like lcd screens and buttons, data logging, etc. It should cost less than $200 to have a remote (web) controlled greenhouse controller.

I use an Oregon Scientific weather station (RMS300A) which has one remote (wireless) sensor. The base unit has a USB cord which I keep plugged into my computer at all times. I have written some software that I use to aggregate data every five minutes and then make a plot of the temperature trend over the last 72 hours (3 days) that is uploaded to my website. (link below)

Don, I have a problem with the software.. Virtual Weather Station. It is not reporting channel 2 Temps and Humidity... Any suggestions?

web4deb: I will going to use an Arduino (uses an avr, open source, etc) One day I'll get to it, after i finish the house, fix the Jeep, fix the other car, build my new speakers, build a new TV cabinet, you know... It's on the list of things to do.
