Old rose- new plant

curlylocks

I have an old rose that my mother-in-law gave us that was from her mother and it's at least 90 years old for sure. Noone knows the name or type, but I can tell you that it's pink, has multi clusters of buds at the ends of the clusters and when it blooms the roses are more of a ball shape than anything else and when all the buds bloom it's spectacular. Problem is, I've lost the mother plant but there is a new young plant that's a few years old. I've never had any buds on it, it's just canes and leaves. How long would it take before it starts to bud and bloom? It gets morning sun until 11 am...the mother plant loved it. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks,
