troy bilt rolling pin removal

I've got a Tomahawk chipper/shredder (47266) and I'm trying to rotate the hammers. For the life of me, I cannot get the roll pins out. I've hammered the crap out of the them and they won't budge. The manual calls for using a 5/32 punch which is what I'm using, but it's work just getting the punch through the sleave hole. The hole seems to be 5/32 so it's hard to get the punch through the hole to the pin. I have worn the hole open a little by banging the punch through, but the pins still aren't budging. Does anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking maybe soak them with some wd-40. I've read a couple of posts about using heat. If this works, I wouldn't mind going and buying a little torch, but I wouldn't use it for anything except this, so it would be a unique purchase. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
