Guess the name of this one!

It has been far too long since we have had a guessing game here. Usually we do it on the Antique roses gallery, but I think more will see it here.

This one is probably gonna be a real challenge! But with all the knowlegeable rose folks here not impossible.

It is a color sport - that has all the same characteristics as it more pink parent - and more than 100 years old.

It is very cold hardy (Zone 3) People in cold zones should really be growing this rose/or it´s parents much more.

It repeat blooms. One great flush and then a few flowers and a smaller fall flush.

Armed with thorns - every bit as thorny as Gertrude Jekyll.

Forms a big upright, to arching shrub but can also be grown as a low climber.

It is intensely fragrant!

I first noticed the beautiful flowers:

the potent strong old rose fragrance:

Very floriferous (huge amount of flowers in clusters) on a big shrub rose. Leaves looked very healthy, which surprised me when I learned the name of the rose. Guess which one?
