Really? It doesn't look at all like the trees in my area that were identified to me as catalpa. The flowers on this are much smaller then on the ones I've seen. Are there multiple species that look very different? Anyway, catalpa are tropical-looking trees...I don't like that but tastes differ. Plus side is they are one of the few big trees in my climate that have big showy flowers, and they are tough. Bad part is they can be messy and drop branches. A tree you can stick in one of the tougher spots in your yard.

Top one looks like chokecherry. The other two, not sure exactly, but I'm going to say some type of elm and some type of sumac, respectively. Let's see how I do when the experts chime in!
