Comments (2)Cutting off the outside stems is what I had to do to my Miscanthus 'Little Zebra' that draped all over the Junipers. It was my fault for planting them too close and I never expected to see the grass take off like that in the first year. Anyone interested in this plant should take the "Little" with a grain of salt. Anyway, cutting off the stems and leaving about 12" to support the remaining stems has worked pretty well for me. You really can't tell anything is missing....See Morerose of Sharon bush is falling over? ?
Comments (4)Hehehe, I didn't offer any opinion on this plant. I was merely fixing the orientation of the photo. Tip for posting photos: take all photos in landscape mode and you will not have orientation issues. Comments (3)My Mary Queen of Scots is about to burst bud - but that's normal for her :) Fertilizer burn wouldn't do that though - not to the leaves...and Osmocote is good stuff. If they don't snap out of it very soon I'd start looking at viral causes. OH wait! Do you have a digital camera? The folks on the Rose Forum are wonderful and would be more than glad to help, but will request you post a picture. I wouldn't mind seeing one as well. I'm a little nervous with this weather, and last years that there may be some nasty stuff going around. I'll post a link of diseases w/ pics below and you can take a look. I really don't think you overfertilized... Here is a link that might be useful: A pretty good rose disease site......See Moredebrazone9socal
