My DH and I have lived in our home for over 2 years, and from what I can remember--I have only seen this tree bloom once (maybe twice, but only remember once). It blooms very small bright yellow flowers in bunches...almost crepe myrtle-like but no leaves around the flowers from my recollection (could be wrong). It looks "dead" to people who just look at it, but breaking off pieces/twigs it seems very alive to me. I believe it bloomed sometime during the winter (but not completely sure).
