Darn Squirrel!

I had a squirrel in my greenhouse this winter. It was only the one, she built a nest and I think she raised a couple babies in there. Then when it warmed up, they all left.

I didn't really like it, but being a nice person, I let it slide, even after she knocked down a few plants and broke a spike off a very special orchid that was a gift from a very special friend.

I am not a proponent of killing "nuisance" animals, be they squirrels, certain birds, armadillos, etc. SO please don't say I should have shot or poisoned it.

I was doing the routine pruning of greenhouse trees and vines up in the upper reaches of the attic yesterday and started dismantling the nest, and what did I find? A squirrel-sized HOLE in my Lexan by the nest! The "door" so to speak! Chewed right through!!

I am tempted to seal over it with a lexan patch, BUT, if she comes back next winter, I don't want another hole made!

What should I do????
