terry this starts to boggle the mind when I try to understand what is going on. I want to blame the keypad and then can't because you purchased another one and had the same problem. If one of the remotes didn't work when you programmed them then I could go that way. I don't think the homelink has anything to do with it. I think at this point it is going to be a case of elimination and the only one that can do that is a technician with all the stuff. I would call one at this point.

Hi Terry, how many remotes do you have? You cant put in an unlimited number of devices. For most recent boards it is 6(6) devices.

Also if your erase was not successful then each addition of a remote will knock one off. Ae you using chamberlain/craftsman accessories or cheapos? If not OEM all bets are off in regard to the bad remote knocks off good remote incompatability problem.

Also do not forget almost all wall controls are NOT passive devices. Discon the wall control and try the reprogram. I am assuming you have tried unplugging the gdo, wait a few minutes, replug and eraase, reset codes?

Number your remotes, start with kepad and homelink. then add in one remote at a timeuntil a problem. Erase all and do hl, kp, and another remote. note results. pls repost with results. HTH Dave

Thank you both for your ideas. Today, I purchased a new craftsman remote, erased all codes and started one thing at a time. The keypad worked fine. Then I reprogrammed the new remote. Then the homelink. Everything works. Both of the old remotes will not reprogram. Maybe a rolling code problem in the old remotes???? I asked technical support at Craftsman, I should be able to use up to 8 remotes with our opener. Anyways - we are set now - thanks for the advice!
