Caftsman Garage Door Opener Code won't erase, neighbor open door
Comments (3)Try these tips. If one of your neighbors remote controls is inadvertently programmed into your receiver, you door will open when their remote is activated. If this happens you will need to clear out your receiver and reprogram your remote controls. Press and hold the smart/learn button for 6 seconds or until you see the small LED light near the button turn itself off. If the above steps have been followed and the symptoms continue, there may be an electronic short in either the wall control button or the receiver logic board. In this case, remove the wall control wires from terminals 1 and 2 on the motor unit. Should the symptoms persist after the wires are removed, replace the receiver logic board. If the symptoms stop with the wall control wires removed from the motor unit, replace the wall control button, and the wires leading to the wall control button....See Moreneed quick help re: new garage door for good price?
Comments (3)We are in the middle of building a house and just ordered the Wayne Dalton 8300 model, but it is not in yet. We needed a 100mph wind rating and wanted good insulation (the r value is improved when they spray polyurethane not put in polystyrene). We are in CA, but I think in Florida some have told me that you may need to have a wind rating. The 9000 series the door salesman tells me is thinner and the ones that Lowe's sells. Also the 8300 gives you an R value of 11 and 25 gauge steel on both sides of the insulation. We wanted the 8500 which gives you a R-15, but they don't sell to the west coast. I am only a homeowner, but have researched a lot. For 2 doors installation, Lift Master 1/2 HP openers and remotes price is under $3500. (also includes windows and qualifies for the tax credit so off about $750)... Good luck!!...See Moreold sears garage door opener needs more light
Comments (1)If you remove the cover and look around you will find the light delay assembly and if you run the opener you will see how it works. You need to unplug the opener because this assembly will have 110 volts on it and you will need to wait a while before touching it as it will be hot. If you bend the assembly so that the contacts are closer together the light will stay on for a longer time. There is a chance you may break the small wire bending the assembly. If you do the part number is 1A35QB and you may be able to get one at any opener service company or at Sears parts. I say may because of the age of these things. If you can find a new one it has a screw adjustment. Not cheap....See MoreNeed help with Craftman Garage Door Opener
Comments (3)One other thing to check is called the RPM sensor. It's a small plastic cap with slotted sides. It rotates and the slots pass through a sensor which counts the rotations. Make sure it's firmly seated and hasn't popped up (or off) when you did your readjustments. If that fails, you might call a garage door specialist to take a look at it. He might be able to fix it. I'd hate to see you buy a logic board and replace it and have the same problem. If the opener is old it might be worthnit to replace it with a new one. Sears often runs sales on GDOs and you can get a unit for less...See Morerustyj14
