'Thornless' vs 'Few Thorns'

Hello rose folks. I am helping my 2nd grade daughter with her science fair project in which she asks, "Every rose has its thorn:Is that true?" We first did field research at Christianson's Nursery in Mt Vernon WA(we live in Seattle). We found no thornless varieties. The folks in the office said they knew of no truly thornless roses. Then we checked the interwebs.... On www.everyrose.com we found 131 through a search for "thornless." However on looking at each listing many were listed as "almost thornless," "few thorns," or even "thornless, few thorns." All this ambiguity has left us feeling.. well, ambiguous! What I'd like to know definitively is; are there any rose varieties that are truly thornless? Not almost, mostly close enough, etc. but truly thorn free. Your thoughts are most appreciated, and if possible a link to source material we could cite.
