Congratulations and many happy returns of the day to you dearest of Georges.Your garden must be about to outshine all previous years especially with you playing clarinet to Mozart in the background. I hope somebody can make a cake as good as yours for you. The birthday boy shouldn't have to do it all himself. Chocolate, dancing, roses and music to you, dearheart, the best of cooks, garden designers and a fine gentleman and true friend.

Well Happy early birthday to you too Sandy just in case I miss it! Is Zinnia, Semper, Mike, or Floyd around to say Happy Birthday to too? Doesn't matter if I am early or late with birthday wishes ;) I'm glad to be back and missed quite a few of you. Here's why I'm back- to suck all of your pretty little brains of their essence. I'll be starting a new concrete Neoprene coated pond sometime this summer and no sense me screwing up with filtration systems and such when I have all of you! I've got the brick selected and delivered to the site, the limestone sills selected, and have an idea in my head for the basic dimensions and style but that's about it. And yes, there will be a bottom drain and no... no rocks on the bottom of the pond (couldn't resist). I'm going to have to pull something together before September. Idealistically, I'd like this pond up and running by next spring. It's my birthday present to myself... using my husband's check book.

I was bound and determined to forget it's my birthday, but I'm glad you reminded me anyway. Like they say, it's statistically proven that people who have the most birthdays live the longest!

Thank you everyone, you have made me very happy many times over.

La - you flatter me (but i'm not sayin' stop) - and you haven't even heard me play! We'll have to fix that.

Thanks for the ID on the photo..I knew Luanne, Ann, you, and Carolina (and I should have recognized Susan...shame on me!) but the others did not ring a bell...
From now one, when I look at 'Georges de Cadauel' I will think of you...someday we will meet. I feel sure of it!

Hi George - it's Jacques Cartier. I love geraniums with roses, especially blue. Funnily enough, Enfant is on my wish list for next spring!

Patricia - thank you - I will do my best to let you see how the young adult fares this year - I think the garden is in that phase where as far as it's concerned I can do nothing right!

George, not one came from my harddrive! These were all stored at Picture Trails and Shutterfly. Thank God for off the site storeage. It's not many compared to my own files but geberally they are the better ones. Thanks.
