I had to google Klout. Not at all interested in becoming more visible on the net. Apparently this site is moving more toward facebook and twitter and the Houzz mystic. That isn't me. I used to browse pinterest before it became a password protected site. In the long run, this could be a good thing. I used to get a lot more done inside and outside the house before I started killing time in front of the computer monitor. I miss the old GW forum. I will probably come here to read from time to time but it won't be like the old days. The atmosphere is totally different. Being here now is like having coffee with Lady Mary instead of Mrs. Patmore. In the kitchen forum I've always felt like Elizabeth having coffee with Hyacinth so I don't often go there. I'll see what develops on the kitchen table forum. The same people seem to be on all the forums I read.

This used to be a stream-lined Q and A forum. Alas, they are trying to sell products / services / the kitchen sink. As they attract people to this forum, I predict the questions and the answers will be dumbed down. Just take a look at what AOL is like.

Surely the opening threads in new tabs (or windows) has to be a mistake though? If it was to get more ad hits, they could have been doing it that way all along but they didn't. I'm thinking they will eventually "fix" that... fingers crossed. While they're at it, I wish they'd remove the auto link feature that sometimes mistakes missed spaces at the end of sentences for domains. Could accidentally link to a site that is malicious.It would probably be better if it did not do that.

Not sure what you mean by this :-) If you access the list of forums from the 'Explore Topics' option on the far left side under the 'Your Topics' listing (rather than accessing from Stories and Advice), the GW forums are presented in an alphabetized list. Although they have mixed in all the Home forums as well. But the list of topics or forums you follow (under Your Topics) is still just a non-alphabetized jumble....which is somewhat irritating if you have a lot listed. Otherwise, while still not visually easy to use or read, I am finding the new format workable. Still numerous bugs to be worked out, like the triple forum posting, which is a confusing mess, and the new tabs for every post and the lack of a back button feature.
